Frequently Asked Questions

When are your bouncy castles and slides available?

Our bouncy castles and slides are available for hire seven days a week, all year round, including holidays.

How do I pay and do I have to pay a deposit?

We accept cash or cheque. No, we don't operate a bond or deposit system. However, we do ask for payment on delivery of the castle.

Do you give a discount if I hire more than two Castles or slides together?

Yes, we have put together a selection of "Party Packs" to suit all occasions and budgets, which offer substantial savings. Please phone us on 0800 482 567 for more details.

What about the weather?

If it rains and the bouncing area gets wet, give the bouncy castle a quick dry with a towel and carry on bouncing! We also offer a “FREE” of charge cancellation option in the event of bad weather. If it is very wet or windy and you no longer want the inflatable you have booked, you can cancel the booking by phoning us by 7:00 AM on the day of hire. Because we don't operate a deposit system, you won’t have to pay a cent! For safety reasons, we cannot allow a hire to proceed if there are high winds or heavy rain on the scheduled day.

When do you deliver the castles?

We operate on a geographical round basis. However, we try to be as flexible as possible so please ask at the time of booking if you need a specific time slot. We do of course give precise times if the hire is booked for an indoor venue, such as community centers/halls, or if the hire is for a school gala or fundraising event.

How long can I keep the bouncy castle?

We normally deliver in the morning and collect in the evening, but we try to be as flexible as possible so please ask at the time of booking. If you hire a bouncy castle or slide for only a few hours, such as for an indoor event or an after-school activity, the same price will apply, as the same amount of work is required. Our normal collection times are between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, but this can vary depending on the time of year. A normal day hire will be between 6 to 8 hours.

How soon do I have to book?

During the summer months we are very busy, particularly at weekends and bank holidays, so you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. However, we will accept bookings as late as the same day, so it's always worth to phone us on 09 886 0363 if you do make a last minute decision.

How long does it take to set up and remove a bouncy castle?

Approximately 20 minutes, depending on access.

What preparation is needed before you arrive?

Our bouncy castles and slides are delivered on a sack trolley so we need adequate clear access for this (minimum width of 3ft). Please ensure that paths or access to your garden are free of obstacles. We will need access to an electricity power point within 20 meters, or we can provide a petrol generator (at additional cost). If we have to wait while you clear access, prepare the site, or if the access/site is unsuitable, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

What type of surface do you need for the bouncy castle?

Bouncy castles and slides situated outdoors need to be on a reasonably flat grassy area (slight slopes are OK) so that they can be staked down. The area needs to be completely free of any sharp stones, objects, dog mess or excessive mud. If we have to wait while you clear access, prepare the site, or if the access/site is unsuitable, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

How much room do you need to erect a bouncy castle?

The minimum space required allowing for the inflation tube and air blower at the back together with the necessary safety mats can be found on the Our Castles page. Any overhanging trees and prickly bushes need to be pruned back.

Can your bouncy castles be used indoors as well as outdoors?

Yes, we set up bouncy castles and slides indoors for internal hires such as community centers, village halls and all types of indoor venues. You will need to check the height of the ceiling at your venue to ensure the inflatable you have chosen will fit. The minimum space required allowing for the inflation tube and air blower at the back together with the necessary safety mats can be found on the Our Castles page.

Do I need to keep the blower running?

Yes, the blower must be running constantly whilst the bouncy castle is in use. If there is a sudden change in weather and there are strong winds, just switch the blower off and let the unit deflate.

Can we move the bouncy castle?

No, once the bouncy castle has been delivered, installed and we have left, it must not be moved or re-positioned under any circumstances.

Do you supply safety instructions?

Yes, we provide detailed written safety instructions with every bouncy castle.

Is there an age limit for children using the bouncy castle?

Yes, all our bouncy castles are suitable for children up to and including the age of 11. Our 5x5 castles are suitable for up to 8 children at one time and our larger castles are suitable for up to 12 children at a time. Adults are “NOT” allowed on the castles, however we do have the Jousting Arena for adults.

It’s winter and the weather is sometimes unpredictable, what do you recommend?

Why not look at hiring a hall? There are many options around from school halls and Church halls to community halls. Auckland City Council has more than 55 community halls available around the Auckland area for a low rate.
